  • Monday mornings 9:30 to 11:00 am. We meet for 20 minute meditation/yoga then a cup of  tea and a discussion group. 

  • On Tuesday avo we meet at the South Juniors Gym, Kingsford  at 4:30 to 5:30pm for weight training.  ($5.00 per session for member club admittance.) Many other classes are offered there too.

  • Friday nights 7:00 to 8:30 pm we meet for a 20 minute meditation and then tea and a product training and discussion group.

  • GOAL - to learn more, meet some nice people, and become healthier.

Discussion topics include: Meditation, Yoga, Food Ideas, Supplements, Exercise, Hormones and Natural Weight Loss Program especially for women over 40.  Thai Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Music for Relaxation, Water Quality, Books, Kinesiology, and Numerology may also be subjects of interest to members for discussion. On-line weekly discussion group planned for the future and email notifications to help you with your program.

There have been various conflicting ideas about weight loss programs over the years.  It seems that everyone has an idea about how to loose weight.  I can help you to learn what is good for you and then you must learn how to like it.  I have found a system using sensible, not restrictive, eating rules to follow then turn them  into habits, in conjunction with yummy protein bars and shakes. These bars have the perfect balance of protein (22g), carbohydrate and fat that mean that you never are hungry.   Think of the carbohydrates and the fats as the fuel and the protein as the accelerator, you need all three to be there to work properly but in the right proportions.

As a matter of fact most people find it hard to eat all the food on the program.  There is minimal exercise, only walking and I have seen great results from people who are on the program. There are no drugs just supplements that everyone requires anyway so that is nothing new.   Once you have reached your target weight I can teach you how to maintain it by resetting your set weight point, just like a thermostat on a car needs to be set properly so that the whole system works right.  Once your body recognizes that new weight it will not fight you to go back to the old heavier weight. That is why so many diets fail in the end because your body thinks it should be at the old weight because the set weight target has not been adjusted properly.

Your cells are the most important place to start and they are made up of fat perimeters so restricting fat or low fat diets can actually cause the cell to not work right and then it can cause all kinds of problems like heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes over long term.  Our system that includes Omega 3 fish oil makes sure that the cell walls are permeable and that they can let the right food in and send the toxins out.  I also recommend antioxidants to anyone who wants to be healthy past 40, so this should be everyone.  The earlier we start giving our bodies the preventative antioxidants the better chance we have of not being sick as we age. 

 

Recommended reading is Dr. Ross Walker's, "The Cell Factor" (ISBN 0-7329-1157-5 $35.00) which explains all this in great detail.  Another really valuable book by another doctor Ray D. Strand M.D. is called "What your doctor doesn't know about nutritional medicine, May be killing you." (ISBN 0-7852-6486-8 $20.00) which goes into details about why antioxidants are so important to everyone but especially the people who are chronically ill.
